How to Handle Roof Leaks

A leaking roof whit leaks can be a serious and potentially costly problem if not properly addressed. Here’s a step-by-step guide to what to do when a roof leaks:

 Step 1: Identify the source of the problem 

– Locate the affected area, look for the exact place where the water leak is occurring.

– Check the roof, inspect the roof for any damage, such as broken shingles, open joints, or a buildup of leaves and branches.

– Check drainage systems, make sure drainage systems such as gutters and downspouts are working properly.

Step 2: Contain the Damage.

– Place a bucket or container under the leak to collect water and prevent the damage from spreading.

– Protect objects  and furniture that may be in the path of water with plastics.

– Disconnect the electricity if water is meeting electrical cables or devices, disconnect the electricity to avoid short circuits.
